Distinctive Americas is a tailor-made specialist. Concentrating on the Americas, and Polar Regions our aim is simple; to provide you with high quality travel arrangements based around exactly what YOU want to do. Each country featured has its own section of suggested travel itineraries. Whilst all are excellent trips, they are meant primarily to inspire and are by no means the only option.
Where we go - from the Antarctic Peninsula to the North Pole, we feature interesting and diverse countries, some well known, others not so. Made up of so many contrasting nations, between them the Americas offer a wonderfully varied range of holiday options. The only destination you will not find here is the USA. Whilst we do include Alaska, we feel that our expertise is best served assisting you in areas of the world where getting around is often not so easy, destinations where an experienced tour operator can be very useful.
Prices - The Distinctive Americas website does not include ‘guide prices’. We plan each individual holiday from scratch, so call, let us know your requirements and we will provide you with a detailed itinerary and complete costing. Operating in this way does not mean that we are more expensive and ensures that there are no ‘hidden costs’ after you have booked.
The Experts - There is no substitute for first hand knowledge and whenever possible we take the opportunity to return to the Americas. Over the years we have travelled extensively across the region and we believe that our destination knowledge is second to none.
Hotel & Lodge Accommodation - Crucial to a successful holiday is finding the right accommodation. We always look for quality, individual properties, shying away from run of the mill mass market chain hotels. Standards have moved on considerably over the past few years and now even in the remotest locations you can find some truly outstanding and special places to stay.
Flights - We only work with well established quality scheduled airlines. We are not tied to one particular operator so are able to offer different options on most routes. Where possible and if required we are also able to offer departures from a number of UK regional airports. Flying to and sometimes within the Americas can involve several hours in the air. Upgrading to a higher class of cabin can help make the journey more enjoyable and leave you feeling better prepared on arrival. If required upgrade costs will be advised with your itinerary costing.
